I used agave nectar. It was very satisfying and put me at peace knowing this was in alignment with my constitution. It was very yummy! Yogurt is too sour for pittas but if you reduce the amount to only 1 Tbsp (while also reducing the garlic and ginger to minimal amounts, and choose maple syrup for the sweetener, and in fact even the vinegar is too sour*), then you should be just fine. The idea isn't necessarily to completely remove pitta-aggravating foods from your life, just to minimize them and make sure you have pitta-pacifying ingredients in abundance (like the cilantro!)

*you can add just a splash of the apple cider vinegar and supplement the rest with apple cider for a very fresh pitta-pacifying adaptation of this recipe, though it will be sweeter so you may only need a teaspoon of maple syrup in the end :-)Claudia Davila (Fran)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02170748777867000492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20886742.post-76122662098559249442010-05-26T11:36:18.743-04:002010-05-26T11:36:18.743-04:00Hey Claudia - I'm wondering if this recipe is ...Hey Claudia - I'm wondering if this recipe is ok for Pittas, since I've been told (I'm a pitta) that yogurt is aggravating to Pittas. Your insight would be helpful - thanks!Jess Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18352869887092474988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20886742.post-72675120476592653882009-08-24T21:12:48.076-04:002009-08-24T21:12:48.076-04:00zing! great dressing!
