It was beautiful and sunny this afternoon in Kensington Market, so I took the opportunity to photograph the House of Spices I mentioned in an earlier post (along with photos of intoxicatingly lovely-looking spices).
In looking at my photos, I realized Augusta Ave. in this strip north of Dundas and the parkette with Al Waxman's statue, looks a lot like a market street in some small hot country like Cuba.
p.s. it just occurred to me... perhaps my longstanding love of this establishment subliminally influenced my choice of name for this blog, and my website, the House of Fran?
